PRIVATE PRACTICE CLIENT
Meet Your Mentor
Hi, I’m Lydia — licensed clinical social worker, supervisor, educator, and founder of Classroom to Couch. I created this space because I remember how disorienting the early years of practice felt. I had the clinical knowledge, but not yet my voice or confidence as a therapist, and I often wrestled with impostor syndrome and the fear of getting it wrong — even while caring deeply about my clients.
Across inpatient care, group practice, IOP, private practice, and startup settings, I saw the same pattern: capable clinicians feeling overwhelmed, underprepared for the emotional weight of the work, and unsure of their next steps. Many arrived exhausted, questioning themselves, and even considering leaving the field.

Why I Do This Work
Classroom to Couch was built for the space between training and true confidence. My work centers on helping early-career therapists find their voice, build steadiness, and create ethical, sustainable careers through professional development, clinical supervision, and mentorship.
This space offers what I wish I had before my first session: steady support, honest guidance, and practical tools — including reflective exercises, thoughtful resources, and powerful questions — so you can grow into grounded, confident practice.
